About

Siddi Kawandi are hand-stitched quilts made by the Siddi women of Karnataka, India. Each quilt is created from layers of recycled fabric, stitched in a distinctive, improvised patterns that grow outward from the center. No two are alike—every Kawandi carries the maker’s artistry, history, and resourceful spirit. We work directly with the Siddi women to help their artwork reach people across the globe.

Every stitch tells a story. We celebrate the centuries-old tradition of Kawandi quilting—an art form rooted in creativity, resilience, and community. Our quilts are hand-stitched from recycled fabrics, transforming what was once worn into something timeless, beautiful, and new.

Alongside our signature Kawandi quilts, we offer a thoughtful collection of sustainable textiles and clothing—patchwork shirts, handwoven Indian shawls, and other pieces that honor craft and heritage. Each item is one-of-a-kind, created with respect for the makers and the earth.

We believe sustainability is not a trend but a tradition. By reimagining fabric that has already lived a life, we keep stories alive, reduce waste, and support artisans who carry forward generations of knowledge.

Siddikawandi is more than a marketplace—it’s a celebration of slow fashion, cultural heritage, and the beauty of making something lasting from what we already have.
