This jacket is made from vintage Bengali Kantha blankets. Kantha is made from layers of vintage cotton saris, hand-stitched together. Each blanket is different so each jacket is one of a kind. It shows beautiful signs of use and age mending, patchwork and reinforcement.
The saris are recycled to blankets, and the blankets recycled to jackets, making these jackets extremely sustainable!!
