It is made from recycled cotton saris, hand-stitched together with a running stitch making a beautiful pattern. They were originally used to sleep on and not as a blanket. It would be perfect as a throw or bedspread.
As this kantha is old, there may be some signs of its age such as small marks but this adds to the character.
