A very rare very vibrant and stunning work of folk craftsmanship. What distinguishes this memorable style of embroidery is the fact that it covers every inch of fabric with colors of rural western India. This intricate piece was made by a nomadic tribe, 'Banjara', or more specifically, 'Rabari'. Its very old and the embroidery would have taken months and months to complete. It had some more modern kantha style patchwork attached to the bottom.
This wall hanging could also be used and cut up to stitch patches on the garments.
