Kantha is all hand stitched which adds strength to the layers ofd cotton. Women in Bengal typically use old saris and cloth and layer them with kantha stitching to make a blanket, throw, or bedspread.
Each design is different and due to the fabric being vintage, some show beautiful signs of age such as a patch or faiding.
The pants have two side pockets and one on the back. The waist is elasticated and has a draw string.
